Attending senior high school, consisted of meeting up with friends that I went to elementary school with and things were seemingly fun. My mom decided to move again from 50th to 51st Street, in to an upgraded house, while she still maintained her job at UCLA. However, she began to party quite often and had relapsed, to the point it became physically visible. During this time, I was still frequenting David's house to get my hair done, often his brother Michael and his then girlfriend Janice were always fighting, she would physically assault him, speeding off in her car, leaving him baffled in the middle of the street. David and Michael, would often frequent my high school,attending the dances, imprudently watching the girls. In which their cousin, L.C. Lester, who worked as a teacher, would give them and many older guys endless access to dance formals. At the time, David was dating two juveniles, Sabrina Cole who was in the tenth grade and Helen in which he began a romantic relationship with her in the junior high school, in which had continued into her senior year. Throughout high school, I was immensely involved in several extracurricular activities, my plan was to become homecoming queen for my senior year. I had stayed focused and maintained honors, all throughout the years.

    Staying focused was hard, especially living on the East Side, young girls were constantly preyed upon. Helen eventually became pregnant with David's child and once the baby was born, he became an absentee father. By this time, my former classmate, Rochelle, introduced me to this guy named Raymond from Compton CA, who I was not attracted to and I had yet to recover from the break up, of my first boyfriend, Eric Ruffin, which had ended due to infidelity on his behalf. Despite my apprehension, I decide to meet Raymond, he played football for Thomas Jefferson High School, and he was popular due to his athletic ability. We eventually began dating, but by the time we were in the eleventh grade he be possessively violent and jealous, which had motivated me to break it off with him. Gossip began circulating around the school, that he had threatened to slap me in front of everyone. During this time I had moved onto Gaylord Turner who was reverential and came from a very respectful family, he had eventually gotten word of the rumor. Raymond had ultimately acted out his menace, vehemently beating me, knocking out my teeth and causing a gory face. Michelle Goodwill, who appeared out of now where, had pulled up in her car and grabbed me, leading me to her car. She had taken me home, in which my mother filed, which resulted in a devastating outcome, as no charges were pressed against him. Trying to make some normalcy out of my life, a  friend of mine, had introduced me to his sister, who was driving a luxury convertible. The girls were enthralled by this women, we had eventually met, her name was Ranita. She was interested in her and I, hanging out, in which I mutually agreed to doing.
